Breeding updates Spring 2025

Unfortunately whilst Lucy was successfully bred, she has resorbed the litter just before 4 weeks gestation.

As such, we will be moving forward with our plans to breed Valkyrie to Kado in spring for a summer litter.

We will attempt to breed Lucy one last time in 2026 knowing what we know now, we will provide her with more management and observation during her pregnancy in an attempt to ensure she carries the litter to full term.

She will be desexed by the end of 2026 regardless of producing a litter or not, and retired from our program.

Lucy is in season!

Here we are again, Lucy started her season last week and we are going to attempt to mate her again. We will be mating her to Aust. Ch. Saffioraire Reverberation “Gus” for a truly striking litter of long coat puppies.

We believe Gus can provide excellent improvement to Lucy in the form of rear strength, front angulation and improved proportions (Lucy is a bit too tall for her length, Gus is perfect in his 12:10 proportion!), bring down ear size whilst maintaining a beautiful head and expression with her perfect almond shaped, obliquely set eyes. We expect correct dark pigment and moderately dark eyes.

All of this whilst maintaining a beautiful and sociable temperament, with calm but self confident dogs. We believe these puppies will make exceptional pets, with the potential for some amazing therapy or assistance dog prospects.

This waitlist is currently full with the exception of a potential show home male puppy.

As we have some buyers for this litter seeking out therapy and assistance dog roles, we will not be assigning puppies to homes until 8 weeks of age. The correct temperament for these roles is very important, and we would hate to send a puppy to a pet home that has the perfect temperament to save lives and bring joy to those in need.

Lucy and Gus July 2025

Lucy’s waitlist FULL!

We are in awe of all the love we have received for Lucy and her impending litter.

As we now have 14+ people confirmed to be interested in this litter even with 6 people originally on the waitlist not responding, we are sadly closing her waitlist. Whilst this may change as depending on how many, what genders and temperaments we get from the litter, we simply cannot justify adding more people to this waitlist and guaranteeing no puppy for someone.

If you have made contact between 1st January 2025 and 30th March 2025, your name is already on our waitlist and we will contact you as things progress.

We cannot thank everyone enough for all the love and support we have received in the last couple months, with many people recognizing the quality of puppies we are producing and the openness in which we operate.

We currently have a dozen people waiting on our next litter, however this is likely to result in approximately half a dozen actual buyers when the time comes – so we are still taking interest in her litter.

We will be putting Valkyrie to our Wild litters sire – Kado (Aust. Ch. Eishund Man on Fire) and we are expecting some truly exceptional puppies from this pairing. We expect primarily medium coats, moderate drives with the potential for higher drive, and puppies suitable to active pet homes, sports, working, showing or breeding.

This will be one litter that cannot be missed !

Lucy is in heat!

Yes folks, you read that right! Lucy is finally in heat!

We have sent out a dozen follow up emails as well as a handful of text messages out to those on her waitlist this afternoon, so make sure you check for an email (incl. in junk folder if you haven’t seen it in your inbox!) and get back to us to confirm your interest in this litter!

We will be making the trek up to the Gold Coast this weekend / early next week to ensure we are local to stud dog when Lucy is ready, and we can make the final trek up to him quickly!

Lucy is home!

As most are likely already aware, Lucy is back home ahead of her impending season!

We are expecting Lucy to come in season within the next couple weeks, and having her home early means we can monitor for the signs of her season ourselves rather than burdening her guardian home family.

We are so excited for this next venture, and to see what we produce by introducing a brand new bloodline to our lines.

So far Lucy and Valkyrie are getting along like a house on fire. She is following me like a white shadow and passively demanding attention constantly, which is consistent with her temperament at home!
She also received a pre-breeding health check to ensure she is in top health, and the vets were very happy with her condition, had a good listen to her lungs and heart, and they adored her friendly and calm temperament.

Thank you so much Paula for agreeing to work with me and allowing me access to Maison for our little Lulu.

New “News” section

Good evening everyone!

Following the increased restrictions on Facebook for the sale of animals and AI flagging non-sales posts leading to our FB page being restricted and “at risk” of being removed, I have elected to create a News section on our website to filter through all the updates and news not only of puppies, but of all the important happenings with Royalemerald – show updates, trial updates etc.
Doing this, I hope to reduce the warnings my facebook page is receiving for anything animal or puppy related.

Thank you for your patience as we work things out!
